──[ MegaMUD Character Manager · CHANGELOG ]──
v1.3.02026-07-28Health in the monitor, and a stats window about monsters
- The session monitor shows health for every session — relayed or not.
- Health is read from MegaMUD’s own party window, so it can’t hang or disturb a session.
- Party Totals shows a member’s real health instead of a row of zeroes.
- A session whose health can’t be read is blank, never zero.
- The statistics window now leads with the per-monster table — the breakdown MegaMUD doesn’t have.
- The six totals duplicating MegaMUD’s own Stats window are one summary line.
- The damage columns say which direction: “Damage to you” and “Dealt to others”.
- Damage is no longer labelled with the name of an item you may not own.
- Your own spells and item procs count as yours, not as everyone else’s.
- A character is no longer called “95% Hash”.
- MegaMUD’s game data is read all four levels deep, including the per-BBS level.
v1.2.12026-07-28Monster naming fixes
- A monster is named the same way wherever it’s counted, so one creature is one row.
- Baby, young and adolescent name different creatures — no longer merged onto one “dragon” row.
- Fierce, wild, vicious, savage, giant, huge, tiny, old, ancient and elder are no longer stripped.
- Only seven words are treated as decoration: angry, big, fat, large, nasty, small, thin.
v1.2.02026-07-27Session, settings and stats fixes
- The manager can no longer crash a busy session it’s watching.
- An error inside the manager no longer scatters your docked sessions.
- Opening the manager twice no longer steals the first copy’s sessions.
- The repair pass and watchdog only touch windows this manager docked.
- A released session can no longer be destroyed when the manager closes.
- No more freezes when closing a tab or connecting to a BBS.
- Settings, profiles, layout and the docked record are written safely.
- An unreadable folder no longer wipes your managed BBS entries.
- Stop Proxy no longer deletes a running session’s character file.
- Kills are counted at last — and for the right character in a group.
- Damage is credited to whoever actually dealt it.
- One monster is one row; damage over time is counted.
- The MegaMUD half of the statistics window finally refreshes.
- A busy session can’t freeze the game or drop you from the BBS.
- The monster list no longer flickers.
- New: kills, damage and experience kept after a session ends.
- New: party totals across the characters the manager relays.
- New: window layout presets — tile, cascade, save and restore.
- New: you’re told when a character drops off the BBS.
- Keyboard shortcuts for switching, moving, docking and closing.
- The close button asks first, and says which thing it will do.
- Monitor rows drag where you aimed them; columns fit scaled displays.
- The manager warns before closing if a session is connected through it.
- The log keeps its evidence instead of erasing it.
v1.1.52026-07-26Clearer session-monitor info
Session-monitor details (character, class, BBS…) resolve more reliably. Still finicky on older MegaMUD builds (pre-2.0.5) — grab the latest MegaMUD for the best results.
v1.1.42026-07-26Stats fixes + a smoother monitor
Live-stats fixes, plus a cleaner, steadier session monitor.
- Live stats now count your damage taken and healing correctly.
- Everyone else’s damage — party, spells, the room — is tracked separately as a new “Others” line and a “They dealt” column, so a group fight is finally legible.
- The session monitor no longer flickers.
- Sessions that aren’t connected are dimmed across the whole row.
- Hover a session for its full details — config, BBS, state, what it’s doing, its windows and PID.
- On older MegaMUD builds (before 2.0.5), the character name is read from its .ini file instead of the window title, so it still shows correctly.
v1.1.32026-07-26Proxy support (new)
The foundation for tracking stats MegaMUD doesn’t. Turn it on with “Start Proxy (for live stats).” Brand new and still rough, with a lot more planned.
